BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Michael Paparella is a world-renowned expert in Otolaryngology.
He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor. Dr. Paparella trained at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI, studied in Europe, was the Director of Research at Ohio State University, a professor at Harvard University, and was the chairman of the Otolaryngology lab at the University of Minnesota for 18 years.
Dr. Paparella currently serves as the director of the Minnesota Ear, Head and Neck Clinic in Minneapolis, which he formed in 1984. He also serves as the chairman of the
Dr. Paparella has received numerous professional honors including the Presidential Citation in 2000, the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Otolaryngology in 1999 and the award of Merit from the American Otological Society in 1998.
He has authored, co-authored and edited more than 550 publications on Otolaryngology, including 55 books, 132 chapters and 307 refereed publications. He has also co-authored poster sessions at the National Research Meetings.
Dr. Paparella founded the International Hearing Foundation in 1984 to help serve those in need worldwide. Dr. Paparella's goal for the International Hearing Foundation was to develop a one-of-a-kind organization dedicated to improving the lives of the hearing-impaired through service, education and research.
